Plastmengun ógnar vistkerfum sjávar heimskautanna á milli
Alþjóðleg ráðstefna um plastmengun í hafi, sem fram fer í Hörpu dagana 20. – 22. október nk., verður sett í næstu viku. Til að vekja athygli á ráðstefnunni og því aðsteðjandi vandamáli sem lífríki og vistkerfi heimsins standa frammi fyrir vegna plastmengunar, hyggst Þorgerður Katrín Gunnarsdóttir utanríkisráðherra taka þátt í átakinu Strandhreinsun Íslands í Reykjavík á morgun. Um er að ræða átak á vegum íslenskra stjórnvalda til að hreinsa strandlengju landsins af plasti og öðrum úrgangi með kerfisbundnum hætti.

Á þingmálaskrá félags- og húsnæðismálaráðherra fyrir komandi þingvetur eru fjölbreytt málefni sem snerta daglegt líf fólks um land allt, meðal annars leigjendur, launafólk, örorkulífeyrisþega, ellilífeyrisþega, fatlað fólk og innflytjendur. Alls hyggst Ragnar Þór Ingólfsson, félags- og húsnæðismálaráðherra, leggja fram 14 mál á Alþingi, þar af 13 frumvörp og eina þingsályktunartillögu.

Sóknargjöld hækkuð og aukið fé til viðhalds á friðuðum kirkjum
Lagt er til í fjárlagafrumvarpi næsta árs að sóknargjöld verði hækkuð um 200 milljónir og 75 milljónum verði veitt aukalega til húsfriðunarsjóðs til að standa straum af viðhaldsþörf á friðuðum kirkjubyggingum um land allt.

Áherslur í ríkisrekstri 2027: Sjálfbær rekstur, góð þjónusta og öflugur mannauður
Helstu áherslur í ríkisrekstri fyrir árið 2027 eru að auka sjálfbærni ríkisreksturs ásamt því að bæta þjónustu með einföldun stjórnsýslu og öflugum mannauði. Ríkisstjórnin samþykkti áherslurnar á fundi sínum á þriðjudag. Með áherslunum eru sett fram verkfæri sem stofnunum ber að horfa til við rekstur sinn.

Þar er þess krafist að ákvörðun ríkisskattstjóra um að hafna umsókn kæranda um frestun á gjalddögum skuldfærðs virðisaukaskatts skv. 3. mgr. 122. gr. tollalaga nr. 88/2005 (hér eftir tollal.) verði felld úr gildi og að umsókn kæranda um fyrrgreint efni verði samþykkt.
